In choosing the proper grade of cone bottom tank, consideration must be given to the weight of the contents, expected service temperature, stress involved in the application, length and type of exposure to the contents (i.e. intermittent or continuous). Industrial Grade- Our heaviest walled tanks are designed for the most demanding applications. The Industrial Grade Tanks are ideal for handling acids and caustics; they have excellent chemical and impact resistance. Use this grade of tanks for storage and processing of aggressive chemicals or applications at elevated temperatures; handles contents that have a specific gravity of 1.9 at 73 F.
Commercial Grade- Heavy wall tanks that are designed for the storage and processing of less aggressive chemicals, this grade of tanks have excellent chemical and impact resistance. Commercial Grade Tanks handles contents that have a maximum specific gravity of 1.7 at 73 F.
Economy Grade- These lighter weight tanks are designed for the storage and processing of agricultural chemicals, highly aqueous solutions and potable water; this grade of tank has good chemical and impact resistance. Economy Grade Tanks handles contents that have a maximum specific gravity of 1.5 at 73 F.
