The polyethylene resin complies with FDA regulations, which makes these underground tanks safe to store potable water. Made to be environmentally safe, you can store these tanks below ground for years without causing harm. After installation, make sure that the water cistern is at least ¼ full at all times. Rotationally molded, these water cisterns turn out as a one-piece, watertight tank and will not leak contents. The domed lid increases these tanks' overall dependability as they are much stronger than other tank lid designs. These water cisterns are designed for underground storage use only.
