Horizontal Leg Tank Buyer’s Guide

Before picking a low profile horizontal tank, consider the following key factors to make sure it fits your needs:

1.Capacity & Footprint

Tank Depot’s horizontal storage tanks range from compact 30-gallon units to massive 6025-gallon haulers. Smaller tanks work great on UTVs or small trailers; larger models need full-length support during transport.

2.Intended Use (Hauling vs. Stationary)

All our horizontal water tanks can be used for hauling or stationary applications, but not for pressurized systems. If you're transporting liquids regularly, opt for models with molded-in baffles, tie-down hoops, and drain fittings.

3.Support Requirements

Most tanks require full-length support when in use. Some larger units (like 1025 or 2600 gallons) come freestanding, but still benefit from hoop kits during movement.

4.Wall Thickness & Resin Type

Choose heavy-duty wall options if your application involves frequent transport or rough handling.
