The SCALA1 3-45 is used in domestic and light-commercial applications, such as garden irrigation or pressure boosting to one and two family houses and apartments, greenhouses, car wash, produce (fruit and vegetable) section in supermarkets. It is a self-priming, fully integrated, all-in-one, multistage pump, that incorporates all the components of a pressure booster into a compact composite enclosure.

Features include:

• SCALA1 can pump water from a level below the pump.
• Can lift water from a depth of 26 feet in less than 5 minutes.
• SCALA1 can communicate with the free GrundfosGO app via built in Bluetooth, which enables detailed pump monitoring and high customization options.
• A small, 2 - 4 gallon pressure tank is recommended in applications where a water heater is in place to allow for thermal expansion in the line. A small pressure tank will also prevent cycling when a leak is present in the piping, extending the life of the pump.
• In city water or well water applications, use a PRLV-30, Pressure Reducing Limit Valve on the suction side of the pump to 30 PSI to prevent inbound water from exceeding the 43 PSI max inlet pressure.

SCALA1 incorporates advanced protection features:

• Dry run protection to automatically stop the pump in case of water shortage.
• Cycling protection prevents pump starting frequently in case of minor leakages.
• Max runtime protection stops the pump after a desired period of continuous operation.
• Built-in motor protection to stop the pump if exposed to excessive ambient temperature, in case of seizure or overload, preventing motor burnout.
